"On Friday night I only partly dried a load of wet laundry as our drier whined on startup, with the noise fading away for a while but returning later. When the same thing happened in the morning, we knew it was time to look for who could save our machine on a Saturday. "Whenever an appliance breaks down all I see is $$$$$. I put in a query to Yelp and of course within minutes I had easily 10 phone calls. After doing some quick research I decided that SCK was the best bet. They had the lowest initial fee and they were immediately up front with pricing. Sergei arrived the next day, on time. In 15 minutes he assessed the problem. An hour and a half later he was finished with a much lower fee than had originally been quoted. He was friendly, fast, and professional. My Samsung washer's rubber seal rotted and it was a big ordeal to replace it because my dryer was stacked on top, as well as major disassembly was required to replace the rubber seal. "My Kitchenaid dishwasher kept stopping mid cycle with an error (9 beeps with a flashing "clean" light). They provided an upfront estimate on the worse case scenario (new diverter pump) and was able to make a visit the same day. Sergei arrived on time and made a thorough diagnosis (checked voltage and examined performance of the pump). While the dishwasher ran fine, he found out that it wasn't draining due to an obstruction in the air gap on the countertop. He provided what i thought was a fair quote to fix it, and took his time making sure all the other hoses were clear, and made sure the dishwasher was draining properly."

He looked at it and after carefully reviewing all the symptoms he said I needed to replace the control board.. he came out a total of three or four times trying to fine-tune things.. My floor was very uneven... he never gave up.. finally today he came in and he had another part to try.. he installed it and everything worked beautifully! The machine was like brand new! "I really appreciated their super quick response on Yelp. It was Friday late afternoon and my dryer had been acting up the whole day. Called a few places but none of them were available to come out on short notice on a Friday late afternoon. So I tried my luck on Yelp. And SCK Home Services responded very quickly. In about 15 minutes, we had our appointment setup for the same evening. Sergei showed up within the time slot. He did a few tests and inspected our dryer and concluded that the motor needed to be replaced. He looked up the part and gave us an extremely reasonable quote. He even gave me a quick consultation on the spot and checked the outlet for us to see if we could switch to electric dryer. I did not feel rushed during the process. Even though I decided to get a new dryer (since we later on found out our dryer is 10 years old), I truly appreciate their quick turnaround, clear communication throughout, and Sergei's knowledge. Throughout the appointment, he explained to me what he looked for and how he came up with the diagnosis with patience. Now I know who to reach out to if I have another appliance issue!"
